The categories \u2018Notices’ and ‘Closures\u2019 make it easier to communicate current updates to guests and others in the region. Now this helpful feature has been optimized and refined to provide even more accurate information and greater control in respect of affected areas.<\/p>\n

Affected routes are automatically closed<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Until now, outdooractive.com\u2019s \u2018Notices’ and ‘Closures\u2019 (under the tab \u2018Current Information\u2019) were displayed or marked individually on the map. In order to provide guests with information even faster, the status of affected routes will now be automatically set to red and thus indicated as “closed”. Routes that pass through or touch an area with restrictions in place will be affected. More detailed information can then be viewed under the \u2018Current Information\u2019 tab.\u00a0 Routes will have their status set to open again when the closure has ended and the area is once again accessible. This is done in three ways: either a predefined period of closure ends, a blockage that caused the closure is manually removed or the route itself is manually reopened. \u00a0This forms the second update on Outdooractive.com<\/p>\n

Not all routes that pass through an area with restrictions in place are equally affected. The result of this is that routes that are, in fact, completely accessible, but pass through the area of a closure (even partially) end up being locked. In order to counter this problem, customers with access to Outdooractive\u2019s DMS have the ability to manually override this automatic closure of the routes. By going to the closed routes under the \u2018Details\u2019 tabs on DMS, users can choose to \u2018Ignore\u2019 the automatic locking command.<\/p>\n

Only DMS users will be notified by email should one of their published routes be closed.<\/p>\n
