This is the problematic that the Tyrol Startup Onlim deals with: How can guest communication for touristic businesses be made easier and be automated– 24/7 and in real time? The solution to this problem are digital employees such as chatbots or intelligent personal assistants like Amazon’s Alexa. Chatbots are text-based dialogue systems that can answer detailed questions without human influence. On the basis of a data base all the system’s information are filtered and then presented as the ideal answer. Moreover, bots are also capable of giving advice and tips that are relevant to a topic and might suggest a nearby place of rest and refreshment.
Onlim has specialized in the fabrication of chatbots for the tourism sector. In combination with Outdooractive’s rich data base guests can soon inform themselves about tours, offers, hotels and current conditions via chatbots – around-the-clock!
