Extension of the DMS: more content for more reach
The Outdooractive Destination Management System (DMS) is the key to sustainable data management. DMS users have every reason to rejoice: From now on they can create more content types. The extension is available without additional costs and fully automatically in the DMS. In this article you can find out exactly what is possible in addition and what added value this has for our partners.
What content has been already included and what is new?
In addition to tours, POI, current conditions, joint trips and pictures, all users with DMS access can now also create offers, lists, events and 3D flights. The new content is automatically activated for all user groups in the DMS. There are no additional costs and no additional interventions by the Outdooractive project manager are required. The innovation applies to all existing and new customers.
The new content types at a glance:
Offers: With this content type, it is possible to display the complete offer of the destination. Via this point, contents such as excursions, active trips, guided tours and many more can be maintained. This does not only support small service providers on site, but also offers guests the opportunity to view the complete range of the destination in one frontend. On outdooractive.com you will find numerous examples of offers.
Lists: Lists offer the possibility to combine several contents (e.g. tours, POI) in one overview. Examples can be found on outdooractive.com.
Events: All events can be entered via the content type “Events”. No highlight will be missed by the guests on site. In Outdooractive’s calendar of events you will find numerous events at a glance.
3D flight: 3D flights can now be created for all tours and ski resorts. The guests can get an impression of the landscape and the requirements in advance. Here is an example:
Where do the contents become visible?
All entered content is automatically displayed in the entire content marketing network of the Outdooractive Platform (e.g. outdooractive.com) and gains reach there. However, one restriction applies to customer projects: until now, content such as events and offers have only been visible for RegioPlus and Destination products. All other frontend products, such as the Outdooractive Regio, couldn’t display these content types.
The sustainable expansion enables users to store all their content in a central location and generate reach. There is no longer a need for multiple data management systems.
