Outdooractive supports the Christmas Trucker Campaign
Companies have a social responsibility. In our company, we try our best to place value on this matter, e.g. protecting the environment by driving electric cars, buying from local suppliers, supporting relief organizations (providing maps for the mountain rescue service) and sheltered workshops.
Every year, the Johanniter encourages to take part in a joint action: The Christmas Trucker, an aid campaign of the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V..
For many years, thousands of kindergarten kids, school children, company employees and many others have been packing aid packages for people in need in Southeastern Europe during the pre-Christmas period. Year after year, they set a sign of charity and hope. And Outdooractive has joined this tradition alongside its team as well.
„This encourages employees to work together in teams and express their own helpfulness. By doubling the employee contributions and organizing the campaign in-house, Outdooractive contributes to this campaign and we are in good faith that our help actually reaches the needy people since the Johanniter drives the packages to the specific places themselves. The bottom line is not what you do and how much it costs, but that you do something. Taking on social responsibility should not only be expressed during the Christmas season, but it is always a good time to pause and do something for others,“ says Hartmut Wimmer, CEO and Founder of Outdooractive.
Together, we are proud to send 40 packages on their way.
We want to thank each and every one at Outdooractive for your help this year.
