Outdooractive Conference 2019: a fresh breeze and trusted program
Shaping the future of digital tourism – that is the motto of this year’s Outdooractive Conference. From September 24 – 26, participants can look forward to a varied agenda: lectures by international experts, a newly conceived seminar day, a varied outdoor program and much more. In this article you will learn more about this year’s topic focus and new highlights that fit perfectly into our previous format.
Every year the OAC deals with topics that move international tourism. At #oac19 the focus is on digital leadership, digital guest behavior and data research/market analysis. From different perspectives, we will discuss the challenges, problems, opportunities and chances of digitization – always in relation to tourism – with top-class speakers.
Tuesday, 24.09.2019: Seminar day with new structure
The seminar day traditionally opens the Outdooractive Conference – but this year under a new concept. In contrast to previous years, the seminars can no longer be booked individually. There is ONE seminar day ticket, which allows access to any number of seminars. You decide spontaneously which events you would like to participate in. There are also thematic innovations: In addition to specific “Outdooractive Seminars”, which deal, for example, with the operation of the technology, there are alternatively seminars by external moderators. They will prepare various industry topics in a practical way. There are seminars planned that deal with data analysis or digital leadership. A legal workshop for tourism professionals is also planned. Detailed information on time management and individual workshops will follow on the event website.
As in previous years, the seminars will be followed by the “Outdooractive Inside” info event. Here Outdooractive presents the latest developments and products of the company. The event is public, free of charge and not bound to participation in #oac19.
From 7 p.m. on, there will be the opportunity to register directly for the following days and to exchange ideas with the other participants at the cozy Get Together. Under the motto “Grieß d´ena to Allgaeu” (Welcome to Allgaeu) you can get to know and enjoy the event region with all your senses.
Wednesday, 25.09.2019: lectures and active outdoor program
On the first day of the conference, participants can expect a program that balances theory and applied knowledge for practice. Selected experts from different fields will give impulses for a successful digital transformation and show how digitization works in practice by means of best practice examples. In addition to exciting and informative lectures, a varied supporting program to relax the mind is of course a must. Therefore, the traditional outdoor program will take place on the first day of the conference in the midst of the Allgäu mountain paradise. The common “being outside” promises action and time for discussions.

Thursday, 26.09.2019: Lectures and plenty of room for open discussions
As on the first day of the conference, the program on Thursday will also include lectures on two different topics. After the lectures, there will be the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss specific topics with industry experts and speakers. The contents of the previous lectures can be deepened and consolidated in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Also in this year the common conclusion meal takes place!
