New Country Manager for Outdooractive Austria
A breath of fresh air for the digital tourism in Austria: at the beginning of August the subsidiary of Outdooractive in Salzburg is under a new management. After more than two years of managing visions and success, Stefan Gruber hands over his position to his successor Thomas Wiedner.
Wiedner has been working in the IT-sector for more than 20 years and has acquired a great deal of know-how in this sector. He is looking forward to achieving a lot with his team of six:
“The offer to work for an international platform such as Outdooractive for the Austrian market is very appealing. The first few weeks of my work provided me with the opportunity to get to know the entire solution portfolio. I believe that there is great potential especially in local-know-how and customer proximity. We want to continuously grow and network with our customers. Innovative services have already proven themselves in other countries – now it is time to position them even more strongly on the domestic market. That will be possible with the support of the fantastic team I found in Salzburg.”
Next to plenty of experience, Thomas Wiedner brings along a large network of contacts from the leisure business. He will also take over the support of customers from Stefan Gruber, who resigns from his position at the end of July.
“I look back at more than two very successful years as the country manager of Outdooractive Austria. Now it is time for me to explore new pathways”, says Gruber. “With Thomas, we found an ideal successor and I wish him the very best for his new tasks. Moreover, I would like to thank all my customers for the positive and nice collaborations. As the proverb says, people always meet at least twice during a lifetime – I am looking forward to the second time!”
