Small destination, digitized big

May we introduce: Our innovative pilot customer Bad Peterstal-Griesbach – national park community in the heart of the Black Forest. Together with us, they go through the complete program of digitization of a destination: from the map to individual guest profiles.

“Besides Oberstaufen, we are the first and only premium hiking destination in Germany. Therefore it is crucial for us to work with a strong partner, who understands us exactly and equips us with the best technology,” says Axel Singer, Managing Director of Kur- und Tourismus GmbH Bad-Peterstal Griesbach.

They are now the first customer to use Outdooractive’s entire range of solutions to digitize their destination and design it for the benefit of their guests.

They rely on our tried-and-tested database, into whose optimal structure all content can be easily imported.

Based on this, Bad Peterstal-Griesbach creates the foundations with its own digital travel guide to benefit from the automatic, generic reach provided by Outdooractive.

And of course, the overall package, as used by Bad Peterstal-Griesbach, provides the right answers to questions about digital visitor guidance right along with it.

Look forward to further insights into the collaboration in the future and follow our joint milestones on the way to digital Bad Peterstal Griesbach.

Germany’s most innovative companies – Outdooractive receives distinction

The business magazine, Capital, together with one of the leading data and analysis institutes, Statista, has conducted an extensive analysis to determine the “Most Innovative Companies in Germany 2021”.

The findings show that Outdooractive is part of the elite inner circle.

As a part of the survey, representatives of innovation-awarding companies, as well as executives from the expert panel of Capital and Statista, gave their verdicts. From the assessments of these groups, the ranking lists were created. No other survey in Germany brings together more expert opinions.

Central aspects to the survey were the following areas of innovation:

  • Products & services
  • Business innovations

Outdooractive offers tourism destinations a platform with quality content, real-time data, and up-to-date contextual information. The result is the opportunity to digitally guide guests already in their inspiration and planning phase. In the future, however, the offering will go much further and Outdooractive will use data reports from the platform to provide, for example, heat maps and a “popularity index” that shows the relative visitor frequency and predicts it on the basis of relevant context.

Understandable for the guest, no additional effort for you

The notorious “Swiss Wall” in the Région Dents du Midi is one of the top 10 hardest ski slopes in the world. From the summit of the Chavanette, the slope plunges down at an angle of 37° and offers 400 meters of drop over a length of 1 km.

For the Région Dents du Midi, this was a decisive criterion for working with Outdooractive, confirms Jean-Baptiste Godard from the Région Dents du Midi.

The possibility of displaying content in German, French, and for international guests in English without additional effort is an important building block on the way to optimal guest service.
