The Outdooractive Conference 2019: The speakers of the Digital Guest Behavior Forum

Digitization is changing the behavior of guests along the entire customer journey. Destinations must adapt and have to be present where users look for information. But how and where do I reach potential guests? At this year’s Outdooractive Conference, this topic will be the focus of numerous lectures. Top-class experts will provide participants with strategies on how destinations can handle the change in user behavior and what opportunities guest communication offers.

In the “Digital Guest Behavior Forum” on Wednesday and Thursday, participants can expect, among other speakers, talks from:

Lars Bengsch (dwif-Consulting GmbH)

In the lecture “Day tourism, the underestimated market segment” Lars Bengsch, Managing Director of dwif-Consulting, shows how valuable locals are for tourism and why it is worthwhile for destinations to establish themselves as local recreation areas. The core competencies of Lars Bengsch lie in the areas of market research and monitoring, day tourism and leisure industry as well as the Quality Monitor Germany Tourism.

Rafael Enzler (gutundgut GmbH)

Thanks to his many years of experience in tourism, Rafael Enzler knows how to make the best possible use of a destination’s potential and how to make it tangible for guests. In his lecture “Guest information and guest care – where is the journey going?” he takes the audience on a short journey through time into the future. Because only if one considers current and future trends the digital transformation can succeed.

Julia Hilpisch (Touristikerverband Siegerland-Wittgenstein e.V.)

Theory alone is not sufficient for digital transformation and practical relevance plays an important role here. In her lecture Julia Hilpisch will present a best practice-project on the “Digitization concept of the Siegen-Wittgenstein model region”. As the person responsible for the strategic orientation of the DMO in the digitization process, she knows exactly which measures lead small and medium-sized DMOs to digital success.

The complete schedule and all other speakers can be found on the event website.
