News at Outdooractive: Pro membership and a new app for the outdoor community

Outdooractive has one very ambitious and continuous aim: to improve existing products and to develop new ones. The newest innovations from the development department are the new Outdooractive App and the freemium-model Pro. Both news improve the performance of the Outdooractive platform and provide users with more comfort during their search for vacation and leisure plans.

Licensing model Pro

The new subscription model will be made available in three different functional levels. There still is a free version that provides members with the chance to plan and print out tours. The annual Pro subscription for 29.99 € unlocks all of Outdooractive’s advantages. The third model, Pro+, is aimed at Outdooractive users that maintain an own website and want to integrate tours, offers, events, etc. and want to offer their users with some added value free of advertisements.

Pro’s main advantage is a rich selection of maps that makes it possible for every outdoor enthusiast to find a fitting road network for his or her favorite activity. The detailed map with contour lines, gradient, summer and winter view enables the exact searching and planning of tours. Learn more about the functions here.

The new Outdooractive App generation

The implementation of Pro also brings the new Outdooractive App to the stores! The users can look forward to a performance and user-oriented app that is equipped with innovative technology. The app is a personalized digital travel guide with practical tours – an intelligent assistant makes the user-experience more personal and more interactive.

If you have subscribed to a Pro membership, you can use all functions on all gadgets without limitations – which is the difference to the usual Premium App.

What are the benefits for partners?

Already in December 2017 the new generation of the Outdooractive customer app went live with «Mythos Schwäbische Alb». Both sides benefited from the new operating concept. Guests and their experiences are the center of the respective destination. Their information and behavior within the app creates results that are accustomed to their needs. Moreover, businesses are provided with a number of possibilities to convey offers, content and specific messages to their guests and thus invite them to their region. Destinations are confronted with very little effort. All content is maintained via the Outdooractive DMS (Destination-Management-System) where one can also choose which navigational elements and contents are displayed in the app.

The transition to Pro does not result in adjustments for destinations and regional customers. They will still be able to use functions such as offline storage, the Outdooractive maps, etc. free of charge for their guests.
